“ As someone said to us, and we agree, it is the closest thing we've come to real Jersey diner-type food and service. The staff (cooking and wait) is quick, and attentive to coffee cup fills. The food is tasty and done well. For example, I love their grits. They're not a glommy ball a lot of other restaurants serve. The french toast tastes the way french toast should taste on it's own - not dressed up with additive flavours and toppings, and is a good thickness. Sausage comes in links or patties, cooked just right; and my husband loves the steak and eggs. We have yet to eat anything other than breakfast, but with the number of regulars the staff recognize and greet like family, I think it is safe to say everything is done well here. The prices are good and you will probably wait in line. (We have the three days in a row we have been here) But it moves fast, and it is worth the wait. This is definitely our favourite place for at least breakfast. ”
“ Great breakfast, great service! Family-friendly environment. I was there during a work break, and the staff was accommodating. They even found a table with an outlet so I could keep working while I eat. I got a Gyro Omelette with some hit chocolate. It was all delicious. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area. It seemed to be an older establishment, but it only added to its charm. The parking was a little tight but still available. ”
“ No wonder they get so many 5: their food tastes homemade, their eggs are made to perfection, and the staff works with a smile on their face. That says it all! Try their huevos rancheros if you want something unique. ”
“ We went at lunchtime on a snowy Saturday and the place was packed. We had a 25 minute wait. Joe was talking to all who came in and seemed to know many by name. While all the breakfast entrees looked delicious and were served until they close at 3 pm, we opted for lunch. My husband got the haddock filet plate. There were two pieces of hot, fresh fish served with the best tartar sauce he has ever had. Sure enough, Joe’s made it. The coleslaw was fresh, sweet and tangy. Green beans came from a can but tasted better than straight from a can. I got the Cobb salad with flavorful chunks of chicken, crispy bacon, tasty tomato, avocado and egg slices over fresh romaine. The ranch dressing was Ken’s. It looked like they might make their own Italian dressing. Both entrees were generous, delicious and reasonably priced. Considering the number of customers and staff in this retro diner-like setting, the 20-minute wait to receive our food was fine. I liked the sign “No Wifi. Talk to each other.” And there was a lot of talking! We definitely understand why there were lots of repeat customers. ”
“ I had an amazing experience at Joe’s Cafe! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, fresh, and served quickly, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. Helen, Jazmine, Jackie, and Daniela went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. Whether it was recommending menu favorites or checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, their service was top-notch. If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy a meal with outstanding customer service, Joe’s Cafe is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back! ”
“ Joe’s Cafe is the place to go if you want the full experience of classic American style breakfast. The menu, service, atmosphere.. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. We had the grits, porkchop steak, pancake, bacon/eggs and black coffee. Highly recommend. ”
“ A very lovely place with great food, great customer service, and great prices! A small town diner feel with delicious breakfasts. On weekends, be prepared for a 20-30 min wait. Well worth it! ”
“ Joe's Cafe is the place to go for breakfast! It was recommended by several coworkers during our visit in town. The 4 Deuces Breakfast Special is the meal to get here. It comes with two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips, and two sausage links/patties. It's a great value too. They have a fast and friendly service here. The staff is very attentive here, never had to ask for a refill of on our coffee mugs. Shortly after we were seated, they took our order and we had food on the table in less than 10 minutes. If you visit with a large group, you may have a wait for a table during peak dining hours. Even when we've waited with a larger group (5 people), we were usually seated within 15 minutes. We ate here pretty much every day during our time here. The interior is not large, but the space is efficiently used to maximize use of tables and chairs. The walls are decorated with police and military patches from various branches. It's pretty cool to check out. We're looking forward to our next visit here. ”
